Luxembourg holds the rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union from July to December 2015. It has been the custom for several years that the ambassador of the presidency’s mission in London make a visit to Scotland, and in particular to the Scottish Parliament, during the course of the presidency. As part of this visit, Ambassador Engelberg will speak to the European Union Society. With the number of challenges currently facing Europe, this event is a special opportunity to hear from and engage with a senior political figure on the EU’s future direction.

Anthony Salamone | Co-Chair
European Union Society Honorary President

Baron Hasslinger | Co-Chair
European Union Society Treasurer

Dr Tobias Lock | Conclusion
Lecturer in European Union Law
Edinburgh Europa Institute Co-Director
