Europa Institute Launches New Website

Launch of dynamic website to enhance the Europa Institute's digital presence

The Edinburgh Europa Institute has today launched its new interactive website.

The redesigned platform is a key investment in the Institute’s public relations.

In addition to the Europa Institute’s history and purpose, the website brings together information on ongoing and past research, publications, news and events.

The site was designed and built by Anthony Salamone, PhD Candidate in Politics at the University of Edinburgh and Member of the Institute’s Steering Group.

The website employs EdGEL elements, the University’s new web digital design framework standard.

Remarking on the redesign, Mr Salamone said:

The Europa Institute’s new website is a powerful platform showcasing the full range of the Institute's activities and the work of its members. The site is an important interface between the Institute on the one hand and external academics, practitioners and the wider public on the other.

The website also features the Europa Institute’s new branding/logo, introduced in spring 2015, also designed by Anthony Salamone.

Commenting on the launch, Europa Institute Co-Director Dr Tobias Lock said:

The new Europa website vastly improves our online presence at a time when the European question is top of the political agenda. I would like to thank Anthony for his stellar work.

The site is interlinked with European Futures, the Institute’s academic blog on Europe, joint with the University of Edinburgh.

The Europa Institute also has a presence on Facebook and Twitter.


The Edinburgh Europa Institute is the University of Edinburgh's research centre on European integration. Founded in 1968, it is the oldest organsation of its kind in Scotland and the UK. The Institute occupies a strategic position in academic and policy debates on Europe and organises a range of events and activities for academics, practitioners and the wider public.
